Chatham, NJ JULY 13-15, 2018 — This weekend kicks off three straight days of top flight tennis at Centercourt Athletic Club of Chatham, NJ, with sixteen (16) professional players competing for the title at The Saint Barnabas Medical Center UTR Men’s Singles Professional Championship.

Players from all over the world will be making their way to New Jersey to feature in what will be a loaded draw, consisting of players ranging from an impressive 13 to over a 15 Universal Tennis Rating (UTR). This is shaping up to be a very exciting weekend of competition with sixteen (16) players competing for over $15k in prize money with $9,450 going to the champion!

The Men’s Open field is full of talent with Long Island native Noah Rubin featured as the 1st seed. With a 15.11 UTR, Noah currently holds a singles ranking of 169 in the world, with a career high of 161 in January of this year. Noah has gone toe to toe on the pro tour with the likes of Roger Federer, John Isner, and Kei Nishikori, as well as earning impressive wins over well-respected players such as Benoit Paire and Marcos Baghdatis at the 2016 Australian Open, and 2018 Geneva Open, respectively.

Prior to turning pro, Noah Rubin (singles ranking 169), played at Wake Forest University in 2015, reaching the NCAA singles final and becoming the 1st player to be named ACC Player and Freshman of the Year in same season.

In addition to the Men’s Open Professional Tournament, there will be a Men’s 40’s division, which will feature former collegiate standouts from Columbia University, Northwestern University, and the University of Louisville.

The weekend will be topped off with a “champions barbeque” during the Men’s Open finals. In addition, there will be an interactive tennis skills challenge sponsored by the newly featured ATP 250 tournament, the New York Open.

The champions party will also feature live music by Poet Section, with drinks being served by 13th Street Cocktails out of Philadelphia during and following the Men’s Open finals. Invitation to the courtside champions barbeque as well as general admission to the tournament is complimentary to all of the tennis community
